Fast Acting Deicer Solid

Calcium Chloride flakes are a fast acting, solid deicer, working immediately upon contact with snow and ice surfaces. Each flake generates heat allowing for effectiveness to -25 degrees F.

Calcium Chloride flakes are flat in shape to help decrease bounce and scatter, allowing the material to stay in centralized locations. These flakes are odorless and can be used in addition to sodium chloride to help initiate the brining process, and can also be mixed with sand to help increase penetration of ice and snow. Calcium chloride flakes also tend to be cheaper than pellets, as they cost less to produce.
