Mineral Melt®

A supreme, medium-grade granular deicer engineered to cut through ice much faster than any other product of its kind

Each high quality homogeneous chloride crystal contains a mix of magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, and more than 15 trace minerals. These ingredients pack the powerful punch you need to quickly and efficiently make roads, parking lots, and walkways safe. Mineral Melt can be used just about anywhere, including:

  • Parking lots
  • Walkways
  • Driveways
  • Stairways
  • Loading docks

In a performance study conducted by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT), Mineral Melt produced ice free roads quicker and better than similar deicer products.Operators reported positive results including easier brine production, and ease of use. It was noted that Mineral Melt “stayed in place and on target” and did not bounce and scatter.  Product usage was reduced by as much at 31% and project costs were reduced by as much as 34% compared to standard coarse grade rock salt.In addition to its outstanding performance, Mineral Melt is also more environmentally friendly than other products.  Since fewer applications are needed to achieve results and brine making is efficient, fewer chlorides and less waste are released into the environment.

Nature’s Best®

A blend of natural granular and liquid deicer products, safe for concrete, asphalt, metal, animals and vegetation

Nature’s Best is created through the application of a high-performance liquid deicer to granular ice-melt using “pre-wetting” technology and concepts currently in use by major government and commercial deicing operations. Through this pre-wetting process, granular ice-melt performs better, melts faster and lasts longer.

For best results, remove any existing loose snow and slush from driveways, steps and walkways prior to application of ice-melt. Evenly sprinkle Nature’s Best on desired surfaces. Melting should begin immediately. Once snow and ice have sufficiently melted, shovel off slush. Thick accumulations may require additional application. Nature’s Best may also be kept in cars and trucks for use any time when traction is needed.

Unique color enhances performance. The unique color of Nature’s Best serves as a guide to where and how much has been applied. Usage is generally half as much and half as often as compared with other deicers. The blue color absorbs heat from the sun on cold sunny days to help the melting process.

Do not use on concrete that is less than one year old, or that was not properly mixed, finished, or cured. Flaking or spalling may occur when using any ice-melting product on concrete surfaces, especially those that are poorly constructed, contain porous concrete or act as a mortar joints between bricks and flagstone. When used in these situations, Nature’s Best should cause less damage than most other deicers and will reduce the number of concrete freeze/thaw cycles, which also greatly contributes to concrete damage.

Mag Chloride Hexahydrate

Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate is fast acting, solid deicer, working immediately upon contact with snow and ice surfaces. Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate works effectivel to -13 degrees F.

Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate flakes are flat in shape to help decrease bounce and scatter, allowing the material to stay in centralized locations. These flakes are odorless and can be used in addition to sodium chloride to help initiate the brining process, and can also be mixed with sand to help increase penetration of ice and snow. Mag Hex is a deicer that’s substantially less corrosive than Calcium Chloride and has toxicity levels lower than those of baking soda, salt and aspirin.

Calcium Chloride Pellet

Calcium Chloride pellets are a fast acting, granular deicer, that works immediately upon contact with snow and ice surfaces. Each pellet generates heat allowing for effectiveness to -25 degrees F.

Calcium Chloride pellets are round in shape to help increase melting down to the covered surface. The round shape drives the Calcium Chloride into the snow and ice, rather than allowing it to spread along the top. These pellets are odorless and can be used in addition to sodium chloride to help initiate the brining process, and can also be mixed with sand to help increase penetration of ice and snow.
